What is Dragonball?

What is dragonball?

In 1984, a man called Akira Toriyama started a new manga. This man had already been sucessful with his previouse project, Dr.Slump, which also started out as a manga in the weekly Shonen Jump, but soon beacam an anime on telivision. Akira knew that he could succed wit his new project if he did thing right, and pleased the masses with his wit and humor, expressed though the manga. What started out as a sucessful manga, grew into a world-wide phenomenon and is now the most popular japanese series, world wide. The project that Akira started, was the story of a little boy, that grew in to a powerful man. It is, the story of Goku, know as Dragonball.

Dragonball later grew into Dragonball Z. Draonball Z focussed more on fighting, but also had an incredible plot to go with it. Unlike other aimes like Sailor Moon where the plot prigresses slowly but surely though a long series of episodes, Dragonball and Dragonball Z moved at a faster pace with each new episode following on where the last episode left off. The manga boasted a total pf 519 issues, which were later condensed into 42 volumes.

Dragonballs final spawn was Dragonball GT. Akira had nothing to do with this has it was taken on by a studio that had nothing to with Dragonball or Dragonball GT, and was drawn by a different set of artists. This turned people of the series. But people hated the plot ecen more. It was a return of Dragonballs genere with Goku and and the Z warroirs searching for the Dragonballs, but with a different twist. Later the series changed genere to more like Dragonball Z was, based on fighting. This then picked up a greater audience, but the show was not as nearly sucessful an Dragonbll or Dragonball Z. The total Dragonball series had 508 episodes.

Well that was a lot of usefull information
